After a two month hiatus, loves & inspo posts are back! Sorry it’s taken me so long, it’s been a long road to being inspired again. And in any case, what’s more inspiring than moms? Today is Mother’s Day! As I’ve done for the last few years, my loves & inspo post is dedicated to all things mom! Especially my mom!
Both of my parents have become extraordinary travelers since they’ve retired. They usually have more than two trips planned out in advance, and also take a ton of impromptu trips in between. My itch to see the world and travel is definitely something I got from her. Seeing all of their photos of their travels makes me slightly jealous, but also so happy that they’re able to do it and do it together.
My mom loves traveling with loved ones, especially her family. She and her sisters recently went to Japan together. It was the first time the three of them had been in Japan together, and you could tell my mom was so happy. And then there’s food. My mom, just like many moms, share their love in their cooking. I aspire to baking as well as she does, or dedicating the amount of time it takes to put a whole meal together.
I’m entirely grateful to my mom for giving me all of the skills I have today. She really set me up for success by giving me a wonderful example of how to be selfless, giving, and loving.
Hope your week is filled with lots of love and inspo!
Today’s loves & inspo
Loves / Inspo – Fitness:
As many of us prepare to watch the CrossFit Regionals action that kicks off soon, I’m always in awe by the number of moms that are in the running for Fittest in the World. Some of my favorite Games athletes are my favorite because they juggle so much and still manage to be in impeccable shape. Here are a few of my favorite CrossFit moms:
Loves / Inspo – Fashion:
With all the traveling my mom does, comfort is key. My mom’s always on the lookout for ways to make her exploring easier and comfortable. If your mom is like my mom, then giving her something she can use throughout her travels is key! Check out a few of these things I’ve gifted to her in the past to help with her galavanting!
Loves / Inspo – Food:
One of my mom’s favorite things to both bake and eat is homemade bread. She has a standard white bread recipe she makes, and it’s one of my favorite things to snack on when I’m home. Every now and then, I’ll bring home some sourdough bread from San Francisco. Both my mom and dad are big fans of sourdough, and certainly make sure it gets eaten. Check out a few recipes for homemade bread here:
ps. Homemade bread also makes for good gifts!
Loves / Inspo – Fun:
I don’t have kids, but I did become a mom this past year to this furry little guy:
Happy Mother’s Day to moms who are parents to dogs, cats, critters, and any other living thing 🙂
